Brickwall Hotel and Restaurant in East Sussex on sale
Brickwall Hotel & Restaurant, located at The Green, Sedlescombe, Battle, is a 25-bedroom Tudor mansion, overlooking the “picturesque” village green.
The building contains a restaurant and garden room for 130 people, as well as bar and lounge areas.
There is also a detached owners/staff accommodation and a car park.
According to estate agents Fleurets, the property is an “historic, charming and attractive Tudor mansion style property dating back to the 16th century, with later extensions.
The listing says the property was originally built for a local ironmaster in 1599.

The hotel offers 25 guest bedrooms, with 22 rooms currently let, and three bedrooms on the second floor that are used for storage, but could be let.
All of the bedrooms have en suite facilities, Wi-Fi, TV and tea and coffee facilities.
The restaurant and conservatory garden room can accommodate 130 people.
The bar and lounge area, situated next to the restaurant, comes with full facilities and an oak beamed ceiling.

To the rear of the property, there is a detached building currently used for staff but could be converted to owners accommodation.
This includes two twin bedrooms, one single bedroom, a shower room and a kitchenette.

A premises licence prevails with the main activities being the sale of alcohol, late night refreshment, and regulated entertainment.

It also highlights the “stunning oak-panelled bar and restaurant, a relaxing residents’ lounge and numerous sun traps within the hotels beautiful grounds”.

Oriental Hotels reports Q1 standalone net at Rs 8.71 cr
CHENNAI, July 19: Oriental Hotels Ltd, an associate company of The Indian Hotels Company Ltd, has reported a standalone profit for the April-June 2025 quarter at Rs 8.71 crore.
The city-based company had earned a net profit of Rs 3.64 crore during the corresponding quarter of last financial year.
For the financial year ending March 31, 2025 the net profit stood at Rs 44.52 crore.
Commenting on the financial performance, company Managing Director and CEO Pramod Ranjan said, “In Q1 FY26, OHL reported a revenue of Rs 107 crore, 26 per cent over the previous year enabled by the completion of significant asset upgradations and sustained demand momentum.”
“The EBITDA (Earnings before Interest Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation) for the quarter stood at a healthy Rs 25.4 crore and a PAT of Rs 8.7 crore,” he said in a company statement on Saturday.
The standalone total income for the June quarter went up to Rs 107.24 crore, from Rs 84.78 crore registered in the year ago period.
For the financial year ending March 31, 2025, the total income of the company stood at Rs 444.63 crore.
Oriental Hotels has seven hotels, including Taj Coromandel, Chennai, Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort and Spa, Chennai, Taj Malabar Resort and Spa, Cochin, Vivanta Coimbatore, Gateway Madurai and Gateway Coonoor. (PTI)
