Rosewood entering Dubai with launch of hotel and residences

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced its entry into Dubai with the launch of Rosewood Dubai and Rosewood Residences Dubai, both slated to open in 2029. Developed in partnership with H&H and owned by Bright Start, the dual-branded project will be located in Peninsula Dubai, “an upcoming landmark destination within the city’s most prestigious waterfront district,” according to a release.
The hospitality and residential components will span over 640,104 square feet and include a 195-key hotel, eight private garden villas and a collection of 63 branded residences alongside five exclusive beachfront villas.
Rosewood Dubai aims to be “a living expression of the Emirate’s cultural richness and contemporary elegance” and will feature a private beach, beach club, four dining venues, a wellness center, curated programming in art, music and gastronomy and an Explorers Club for younger guests.
“Our vision is to create an ultra-luxury destination that is not only anchored in exceptional design and service but also in human connection and purpose. Rosewood Dubai is a vital part of our expansion in the Middle East and will reflect our A Sense of Place® philosophy, celebrating the city’s vibrant energy while offering a new expression of modern luxury lifestyle,” said Radha Arora, president, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
Set along the sands of Jumeirah Beach with views of Dubai’s skyline, the residences will offer access to a 24-hour concierge, spa and movement studio, padel court, private cinema, library and lounge. The design will incorporate “subtle tributes to local culture” and emphasize “masterful design and contemporary architecture.”
“At H&H we consistently strive to pioneer new standards by creating developments that shape the real estate landscape of the city. We are incredibly excited to bring a world-renowned brand like Rosewood to Dubai, specifically to Peninsula Dubai, a landmark destination we are developing that will redefine the Dubai waterfront. Our aim with Rosewood Dubai is to offer something truly unique – blending architectural and design genius, the inherent prestige of the Rosewood brand, the bespoke amenities of both the hotel and the residences and the one-of-a-kind experience this distinctive destination provides,” added Miltos Bosinis, chief executive officer, H&H.
The project is positioned as a new benchmark for luxury living and hospitality in the region with a goal to “curate transformative experiences that spark discovery, foster meaningful relationships and deepen the bond between guests, residents and the city they call home.”
“Our commitment extends beyond redefining industry standards; we are dedicated to generating substantial value and contributing strategically to Dubai’s growth. The realization of Peninsula Dubai represents a pivotal asset in our portfolio with the introduction of Rosewood Dubai further solidifying its position as a landmark destination. Rosewood’s global reputation for highly personalized luxury is a key driver for the project’s premium positioning and investor appeal. This partnership aligns perfectly with our strategic vision: to bring truly exceptional living and hospitality experiences to Dubai and build a lasting legacy for this dynamic city,” said Shahab Lutfi, chief executive officer, Bright Start.

E-Land Park will offer a “Jeju Flex” package that will allow visitors to move freely among Kensington Resort’s three Jeju locations — in Jungmun, Seogwipo and Hallim — through Dec. 19, the hotel and resort company said Thursday.
Jeju Flex is a bundled program that allows travelers to choose freely among the three Kensington Resort properties in Jeju. The package starts at 287,900 won for a three-night stay at Kensington Resort Seogwipo, including tax.
Guests booking a three- or four-night stay can receive discounted room rates and additional perks at the resorts’ facilities. The benefits include a 20 percent discount on a three-night stay, one complimentary breakfast buffet for three people — two adults and one child — one free admission for three people to either a swimming pool or a local tourist attraction, a 10,000-won ($7) voucher usable at restaurants or retail shops such as Kenimall or Kenishop, and one voucher for a 10 percent discount at on-site facilities.
The package was created in response to a customer survey conducted earlier this year among those who said they preferred traveling across different parts of the island rather than staying in just one location, according to E-Land Park.

Kensington Resort Seogwipo mainly features rooms designed for groups of four, making it suitable for families. The resort’s outdoor pool is open for the same period as the one in Jungmun. It is located near Gangjeong Stream and Akgeun Stream with peaceful walking paths surrounded by nature.
Kensington Resort Jeju Hallim offers rooms that can accommodate up to eight people. It is located about a 10-minute drive from Hyeopjae and Geumneung Beaches, giving guests easy access to the seaside.
“We launched the Jeju Flex package to meet the growing demand from customers who want to enjoy the many different charms of Jeju,” said Kensington Hotels and Resorts. “We will continue to develop customized offerings based on customer feedback.”

Madras HC allows TTDC’s appeal and eviction of SRM Hotels

It was agreed that the annual lease amount would be revised every three years at 7% of the market value and should be paid in advance 10 days prior to the commencement of each year, adding that default of payment for two consecutive years would result in termination of the lease.
However, expressing grievances with regard to the lease period and lack of profit, SRM Hotels made several requests seeking extension of lease period. But TTDC rejected the requests and issued a letter to SRM Hotels in June 2024, demanding to settle the outstanding lease amount of Rs 38.85 crore from 2003 to 2024 and also to handover the property citing expiry of the lease period. Challenging this, SRM Hotels had moved the high court, which were allowed by the single judge.
On Wednesday, the division bench observed that as per the contract, renewal is at the government’s discretion. Though TTDC’s rejection order was delayed due to administrative reasons, it cannot be treated as implied consent. SRM Hotels is bound to pay the enhanced lease amount but instead of doing it, has attempted to protract the issue and squat on the property by filing litigations both before the civil court and the high court, the judges criticised and set aside the orders passed by the single judge.

The Vignette Collection is perfect for The Vignette Collection. It is a diverse country with a rich culture and a lot of places to visit. The luxury boutique hotel caters to high class tourists and offers a blend of rich culture with soothing lodgings.
Collaboration with LCK Hospitality, a well-known family firm with deep-rooted knowledge in Vietnam’s culture and hospitality, propels IHG to design a hotel that combines the company’s global expertise with local elements. LCK’s reputation in curating hotels ensures that the newly proposed Vignette Collection hotel in Ho Chi Minh City will celebrate the culture of the area. Thus, the hotel will provide a lavish, local experience for tourists.
Key Advantages of the Partnership
This partnership creates multiple strategic advantages for both parties. With IHG, the partnership with LCK Hospitality allows the company to gain local know-how and market intelligence from the LCK side. LCK’s strong presence in Vietnam gives the company an advantage in executing culturally relevant design concepts. With LCK Hospitality, this partnership facilitates the company to gain tremendous value from IHG’s global network and resources, thereby significantly enhancing the ability to provide world-class hospitality while retaining local uniqueness to each hotel.
Experience with art dealerships allows LCK to design the new Vignette Collection hotel with an outstanding local artistic style. Concentrating on art and culture allows the hotel to compete strongly in the overpopulated hotel market and allows guests to enjoy something that cannot be found anywhere else.
A Look at the Hotel’s Location and Amenities
The Vignette Collection hotel will be uniquely placed within the central precinct of Ho Chi Minh City, providing easy access for visitors interested in navigating the city’s popular attractions. Expected Opening Date and Future Impact
While the specific date for the launch of the hotel remains unknown, it is expected to commence operations during the peak tourist season towards the year’s end. Given the swiftly advancing tourism industry of Vietnam, the expectant hotel’s launch will greatly contribute in meeting the mounting demand for more lavish accommodations in the capital, Ho Chi Minh City. This property will represent yet another key investment in the ever-expanding IHG portfolio, which also strengthens the city’s reputation as a hub for high-end travelers.
As part of the new Vignette collection, the hotel is to be designed with international standards in mind, assimilating local inspiration aimed towards promoting domestic tourism. As a franchise of IHG, the hotel is expected to bolster international perceptions of Vietnam’s tourism industry by diversifying offerings, thus, solidifying the region’s stature as a luxury travel hub. This alliance between IHG and LCK Hospitality marks the initial steps towards the projected visions of these companies to position Vietnam as a distinguished luxury travel destination within Southeast Asia.
